John T. Baur Sr, age 81 of Honey Brook (formerly of Malvern) passed away on November 28th, 2020. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Nina (nee Hendricks); his loving children Lisa Baur – Chermack (Robert), Joan Baur – Pelham, and John T. Baur Jr. (Maureen); his cherished grandchildren Andrew, Chad, Autumn, Sydney and Evan; his adoring great-grandchild Owen, and his dear sister Claudia Sharpless (Richard) of Malvern, PA. He was predeceased by his grandson Daniel Chermack and his brothers James and Robert (Esther).John started his adult life while serving in the US Navy working in communications. When he left the service, he started Taylure Benton Pool Company in Wayne. He eventually changed the name to Baur Pool Service and finally retired in was a generous person, always sharing what he had with friends and family. He especially loved sharing and enjoying the house in Hillsgrove, Sullivan County. Many great memories were shared there like hiking, fishing, hunting, tubing down the Loyal Sock and was a lifelong member of the Episcopal Church whether it was at St. Paul’s in West Whiteland or St. Andrews in Glenmoore. He served as a Vestry Member and Usher and helped out where he could.
