JOHN SZUCSJohn Szucs of Burlington, died suddenly Saturday, March 27th, at Lourdes Hospital in Willingboro, he was 86 years of age. Born in Roebling, N.J.on February 13, 1924, he was the son of the late Frank and Julia Szucs. A United States Army veteran, John served his country honorably during World War II. John had been employed in the warehouse department of the 3M Company in Bristol, PA., before retiring in 1990. John was a member of St. Paul’s R.C. Church where he served as an usher.

He was also a member of Burlington 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus #589, the Hope Fire Company, the Roma Club and the Roebling American Legion, Post #39. When he was in his mid to late 20″s, John played semi-pro baseball for the Trenton “A’s”. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing, senior citizen bus trips and doing “handyman” work around his home. John was predeceased by his beloved wife Lily, who died this past January. He is survived by a sister, Mary Salaga of Roebling and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
