John Stuart Henry was born August 18, 1951, in Prineville, Oregon to Warren Dean Henry and Phyllis Jean Henry. He was an only child. He grew up in Oregon and graduated from high school in Burns, Oregon.

He attended the College of Idaho, where he met his wife, Pamela Ashworth. They were married September 3, 1971.

John worked for several years as a Caldwell Police Officer.

In 1980 John and Pamela moved to Duchesne, Utah where he pastored until April 1986. When Pamela was transferred with her job to Phoenix, Arizona he attended Grand Canyon University where he finished his BA degree.

John loved to go fishing and camping with his wife and really enjoyed his 5th wheel RV.

John was 11 years old when he gave his life to Jesus. He was a man of faith, servant of Jesus Christ and loved working with people in all circumstances.

When he was diagnosed with cancer, he still worked helping others. A life lived for Christ is not a life lived in vain.

John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela and many friends and associates, brother-in-law David Ashworth and wife Brenda, sister-in-law Carol Ball and her husband David and all his nieces and nephews whom he loved like his own.
