John Steven Kot, 79, of Greenwood passed away on June 29, 2018. He was born on October 1, 1938 to the late Steven and Grace Kot. On April 3, 1993 he married Deborah Reese. John was owner and operator of Kot’s Ceramics of Greenwood for many years, retiring as a manager of Speedway Gas Station in Whiteland. He was an avid Colts fan. John enjoyed shooting pool, playing bridge, euchre and golfing.
John is survived by his wife Deborah; children Deloras J. Gartner, Jack S. Kot, (Dessie), David C. Kot (Nga), Kristen R. Moon (Jon), Keith E. Frederick (Patricia), James P. Kot (Shannon), Adam J. Frederick (Rhonda); 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and brother Ron Kot (Connie). In addition to his parents he is preceded in passing by his first wife Patricia (Singleton) Kot.
