John Paul Stack, age 65 of Centralia, IL, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.John was born on November 22, 1950 in Danville, IL, a son to Donald A. and Rita (Kramer) Stack. He married Judith Schaefer on April 8, 1972 and she survives in Centralia.
In addition to his wife, John is also survived by two sons, Jason Stack and wife Michele of St. Louis, MO and Justen Stack and special friend, Brandi Fallis of Centralia; two daughters, Jennifer Kincaid and husband Tim of Quincy, IL and Jacquelyn Stack of Centralia; three brothers, Jerome Stack and wife Jeanne of Chebanse, IL, Stanley Stack and wife Sharon of Belleville, IL, and Tom Stack of Mansfield, TX; two sisters, Margaret Bedard of Highland, IL and Theresa Oldham of Salem, IL; three grandchildren, Connor Stack, Whitney Stack, and Raylee Kincaid; two brothers-in-law, Daniel Schaefer and wife Linda of Centralia, Robert Schaefer and wife Martha of Warden, IL; two sisters-in-law, Cathleen Bright and husband Julian of Alhambra, IL, and Nancy Schaefer of Kell, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Joseph Stack, Dennis Stack, and Mark Stack; three sisters, Barbara Boyd, Donna Stack, and Mary Stack; and two brothers-in-law, Ed Oldham and Ronald Schaefer.John was of the catholic faith and was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Sandoval, IL and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Centralia.
He graduated from Centralia Township High School where he enjoyed playing football. He served in the United States Navy and worked in the maintenance department at St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia since 1973. John was a member of the Central City Lions Club and enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on his farm and spending time with his family and friends.
