John Simon Bradin, 87, Huntington, IN, passed away at 11:05 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2012 at Heritage Pointe, Warren, IN. John Bradin was born September 19, 1924 to Ioan (John) and Florence Simon Bradin in Garrett, Indiana. His parents preceded him in death. Mr. Bradin married Shirley Marie Walston on January 21, 1948. She preceded John in death on September 11, 2011. Mr. Bradin received a BS degree in Radio Engineering from Tri-State College in 1950.

John was an electronics engineer formerly employed at Capehart-Farnsworth, Fort Wayne, IN, Sparton Electronics, MI, Louis Allis Co., WI, Model Engineering, Huntington, IN and US Dept of Defense in Indiana. He was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the Eagles Lodge, Garrett, Indiana. He served in the US Navy during WW II and received several awards: the Navy Unit Commendation, Navy Good Conduct, American Theater, Asiatic Pacific Theater, three combat stars and the WW II victory award. He authored “”Handbook of Reliability Engineering and Management””, and the book “”Navy Air Service unit throughout WW II.

Survivors include: two sons: James (Rhonda) Bradin, Garrett, IN and Joseph (Theresa) Bradin, Huntington, IN; four daughters: Nancy (Gary) Mickley, Huntington, IN.; Deborah Tinsley, Vallejo, CA ; Pamela “”Susie”” (Ricky) Smith, Fort Wayne, IN. and Julie (Giuseppe) Ceravolo, Huntington, IN.; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and one sister: Ann (Arthur) Warner, Columbia, S.C. In addition to his parents and wife, John was preceded in death by a sister: Jane Yarde.
