He is survived by his loving wife Leola, children Gina Burd [Brian], Arthur McDermott [Sharon], Russell McDermott [Christine], Susan Ashley and niece Andrea O’Connell [Kevin], 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. John attended MM/A School and was a Navy-Stationary Engineer. He worked for the Children’s hospital in Aurora and was a member of the Wheat Ridge Historical Society.
