John Scott Franks, age 50, of Pinson, passed away on June 22, 2016. He was a dedicated lifelong professional automotive mechanic who lived life on his own terms. He enjoyed fishing, drumming, and cooking among many other hobbies. He was preceded in death by his brother William Stacy Franks. He is survived by his parents, William Howard Franks and Carolyn Stephens Franks; his brother, Stephen Howard Franks; his children, Randi Franks Shannon (Nathan), William Tyler Franks, John Blake Franks; his grandchildren, Zoey Isabella Shannon, Myles David Shannon; and his significant other, Kathy Arnold.
