John Swanson Calder “Jack”, 80, of Glen Burnie passed away on September 1, 2011 at Harbor Hospital.
Jack was born in Verdun, Canada to the late Johanna & George Calder. Prior to moving to Glen Burnie, Jack worked for the Montreal Standard newspaper and then he was a pressman supervisor for Alco Gravure in Glen Burnie for over 20 years. Jack belonged to the Tuesday Morning Breakfast Club and he enjoyed his family, helping people, computers, pictures, sending special cards, horse racing, football, hockey, and playing cards & dice with his family.
Jack is survived by his cherished wife of 58 years, Helen M. Calder; his beloved children, Jo-Ann McKitrick and husband Bruce, Cheryl Rebstock and husband Richard, John N. Calder and wife Donna, and Wendi Pumphrey and husband Jeff; loving grandfather of eleven and great-grandfather of ten; dear brother of Norman Calder and brother-in-law of Sheila Adams. Jack is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
