Fred Romley was was called home to meet our heavenly father on Friday, August 24, 2012. He was born May 16, 1928 to Samuel and Satoot Romley in Cottonwood, Arizona. Fred lived an eventful and wonderful 84 years.
Fred planted his roots in Phoenix, AZ where he attended Phoenix Union High School, served our country at age 18, and later met the love of his life, Lou Ann Romley, who he was married to for 63 years. He had a staunch passion for his life long career as a produce buyer for Bashas’ family grocery stores. After retirement he moved to Yuma, AZ and has been a member of the Yuma community for 12 years. Much like the produce that he tended and procured, Fred had the uncanny ability to tend to the needs of those around him and to procure a place in their hearts. Fred was a devoted and loving husband and father.
Fred is survived by his wife Lou Ann Romley, his four children, Fredrick C. Romley, Cynthia Rodriguez (Sonny), Jacque Romley, Roberta McPhetrige; 7 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren
