John Robert Gallegos, 66, affectionately known as “Cheater”, passed away July 7, 2022. He was born February 28, 1956 in Pueblo, CO and raised by parents, Isabel Gallegos, Frank Gallegos, and Agapita Gallegos, all of whom preceded him in death.
John loved to ride his motorcycle. He was a builder and collector, rebuilding cars. He collected cars big and small from hot wheels to real-life vehicles.. He lived for his favorite team the San Francisco 49’ers. Most of all he enjoyed being with his family. John always helped others in need and never spoke ill of anyone.
John is survived by his wife, Isabel Medina; children, John (Valentina Fernandez) Gallegos and Pancho (Jennifer) Gallegos, Toby (Mae Martinez) Rael and Todd (Linda Ortiz) Rael, Angelic (Rudy Fuentes) Duran, Andrew Salazar, Lori Medina, Renee (Jay) Evans, Aaron Tafoya; several siblings to include, Judy Charboneau, his aunt who was like a mother to him, Mary Portillos; 22 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren, his best friend, Betty Kalaquin, and her family and numerous other relatives and friends who loved and will miss him dearly.
