John “Rick” Gazo, 65, of Carlisle, Arkansas, was finally able to give up his hard-fought cancer battle of 9 years on Monday, February 21, 2022, and went peacefully to his Heavenly home. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on June 23, 1956, to the late Johnny and Wilma Gazo.

Rick always had a smile on his face and a joke on his lips with a quick comeback. He was always a motivator with a positive attitude and never met a stranger. His motivation for life was the love of his life, his daughter and his heart and soul, his precious grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Michalle Gazo; brother, Tony Gazo; and nephew, Timothy Gazo.

He is survived by his wife, Trudy Drye; daughter, Brianne (John) White of Carlisle, Arkansas; son, Ricky Gazo of Little Rock, Arkansas; grandchildren, Dara Grace and JP White; sisters, Rena (Mike) Fulton and Melanie Carden, both of Roland, Arkansas; sisters-in-law, Dolores Gazo of Cabot, Arkansas, Regina Drye, Minnie Hodnett, Doris Fortenberry, all of Carlisle, Arkansas, and Debbie Gresham of White Hall, Arkansas; brother-in-law, Dean Drye of Carlise, Arkansas; along with a host of extended family and friends.

A special thank you to Dr. VanRhee and the staff and UAMS Myeloma Center for taking such good care of Rick over the years.
