John Richard Bell, 69, of Glen Burnie died on September 14, 2011 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a 3 year battle with cancer. John was born in 1942 in Baltimore, MD. After graduating from high school, he became MHIC certified, HVAC certified and was a 2nd Grade Stationary Engineer. He worked for Verizon for 34 years as a Building Engineer. Later he became a self-employed general contractor and also worked as a building engineer at W.W. Contractors, Inc. John served in the US Navy as a Seaman from 1961-1966, where he was honorably discharged as an Airport Serviceman. He was a member of the Coyote Club and Bally Total Fitness. John was also Past President of Unity By the Bay, Board of Trustees.
