Mr. John R. White, of Derby, CT, beloved husband of Barbara Ferris White, passed away peacefully on September, 23, 2006 after courageously battling many health issues. Born in Whitman, MA, in 1930 he was the only son of the late Michael and Mary Donovan White. He graduated from Whitman Hanson High School in 1947 and Boston University in 1951. Proudly, he served as a U.S. Marine Corps Officer during the Korean conflict. He retired from Uniroyal Corporation after a 30 year career. His retirement years were spent becoming proficient on the computer and communicating with a wide network of people.
