John A. Patterson, 78 of Fairmount, Indiana died on Thursday, October 15, 2015, at Miller s Merry Manor. Born Saturday, October 31, 1936 to Curtis A. Patterson and Eva Myrtle Roudebush Patterson in Lake Delton, Wisconsin. John graduated from Lake Delton High School and from Technical College of Wisconsin. John was a Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion. He married his wife of 37 years, Ruth A. Houghton, on August 29, 1978 in Fairmount. John was an engineer at Thompson Consumer Electronics for 36 years retiring in 1998. He also owned and operated Grant County TV Service and was a member of the Central Christian Church in Mesa, Arizona. John enjoyed motorcycle, golfing and fishing trips with his many friends, and enjoyed camping with his wife. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Surviving are his wife Ruth Patterson, Fairmount Sons, James (Pan Wilson) Patterson of Indianapolis, IN Gary (Francisco Hernandez)Patterson of San Francisco, CA, Daughter, Janet (Ron) Holt , of Gas City, IN, brother, Charles (Joan) Patterson, Waupaca, WI. Step-Children: Sandy (Bill) Rock, Gas City, IN Kathy (Rick) Savage, Dennis (Michele) Wright, and Jeff Wright, all of Fairmount, IN Steve Wright, Kentucky Larry Wright, Cicero, IN Sister-in-Law, Mary Kehoe, Indianapolis Many Grandchildren and many great grandchildren. John was preceded in death by 2 sisters Donna Greenwood and Betty Hagen and brother Richard Bud Patterson.
