John R. Minnocci, 74, of Henderson Ave., Clarksburg, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at United Hospital Center, following an extended illness. He was born in Erie, WV July 30, 1937 the son of the late John R. Minnocci and Sophia Bronick Minnocci. He is survived by his wife Sara Tenda Minnocci whom he married January 25, 1964. Also surviving one are son; John R. Minnocci, III and wife Julie of Bridgeport; two grandsons; Dominico John and Jovanni Gualtiero Minnocci of Bridgeport; several nieces and nephews; one sister-in-law; Catherine Tenda of Clarksburg; three brothers-in-law; A very special brother-in-law Donald “Duckie” Tenda and wife Paula of Clarksburg; Carl Tenda and wife Beverly of Clarksburg and Louie Talerico of Hepzibah. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters; Viola Talerico and Flora Koontz and one brother; William “Bill” Minnocci. John was a 1955 graduate of the old St. Mary’s High School, he then went on to serve in the Army where he obtained the rank of Sp 5 as an MP. In 1965 he went to work for Lockheed Martin until 1999 when he retired. While working for Lockheed he was a Production Assembler of the C-130 aircraft, and was Treasurer of the Local 1027 Machinists Union.
