John R. Halsey, 80, of Boca Raton, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Trustbridge Hospice. John was born in Brooklyn, New York. He proudly served his country in the US Army.
He was an electrical engineer with Western Electric in New York. After retirement, he moved to Boca Raton in 1975 and took employment with Siemens.
John loved to travel; especially on cruises. His last cruise was to France and Spain, returning on the Queen Mary. Anyone who knew John knew he was passionate about golf, the art of the game, the comraderie, and constant perfection of skill. These last few years he enjoyed the friendship of many golfers he met while working with the team at Red Reef Golf Course.
John leaves behind his constant companion and wife, Pierrette, his brother Frederick, nephew Douglas, niece Amber and many cousins.
