Mr. John Quirk, age 85, of Milford, beloved husband of Breda Quirk, died Monday March 16, 2009 at St. Raphael Hospital after a lengthy illness.
John was born on November 23, 1922 in Boston. He served with honor and pride in the US Navy during WWII, and was a charter member of American Legion Post 196, Milford. Before his retirement in 1982, John was a shift superintendant at Schick Manufacturing in Milford. He was a huge fan of all Boston sports teams.
In addition to his wife Breda of 46 years of marriage, he is survived by four loving children, Maura Cockey and her husband Lee of Milford, Kathleen Grillo and her husband Dave of Oxford, Patrick Quirk and his wife Catherine of West Hartford and Danny Quirk of Portland, OR. Five cherished grandchildren, Ross, Madison, Kennedy, Wade and Kendra. He was predeceased by his son Johnny.
