John Porter Hamric, 75, of Mint Hill, North Carolina passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 28, 2010.
Born in Charleston, WVA. on February 20, 1935, John was the son of the late Norval and Margaret (Porter) Hamric. He graduated Stonewall Jackson High School and Morris Harvey College. While attending college, John was a member of the school’s basketball team. Mr. Hamric served with the US Army during the Korean War and had worked as a salesman in the building and construction industry. He was a member of Matthews United Methodist Church. Mr. Hamric was preceded in death by his wife Judith (Smithson ) Hamric.
