John Phillip Shaughnessy, 64, passed away Wednesday May 15, 2013 in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Indianapolis. He was born March 29, 1949 in Indianapolis to the late Paul Q. and Patricia A. Shaughnessy.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War, in the 101 st Airborne Division.
He was employed with the State of Indiana in the highway division; retiring in 2012. He was also employed part-time with Ryder Trucking in Indianapolis. John was a huge Harley Davidson enthusiast.
Survivors include two brothers, Michael (Wanda) Shaughnessy of Greenwood and Tom Shaughnessy of Minnesota, sister, Harriet (Ron) Buchanan of Kentucky, two aunts, Janet Shaughnessy and Sister Regina Shaughnessy and several nieces and nephews.
