John Patrick Williams, 75, of Nampa,  passed away peacefully at his home on June 23, 2010.

 

John was born on February 25, 1935 in Carrigallen, Leitrim, Ireland to James Williams and Ellen Reilly Williams. He immigrated to Boise, Idaho in 1956 and later became a US Citizen in San Francisco, California. He served in the US Army from 1957 to 1960 beginning in the 11th Airborne in Germany.

 

After retiring in 1993, John and Mary Ann lived in San Francisco until 1997 and then moved to Nampa, Idaho.

 

John enjoyed his working years in Alaska working out of Local 2520, building docks and bridges throughout the state of Alaska. Later he worked out of Local 34 in the San Francisco Bay Area, retrofitting bridges and freeways, retiring in 1997.

 

 

John is survived by his wife Mary Ann of Nampa, Idaho; son James Patrick “Jim” Williams, daughter Eileen M. (Jody) Maus, granddaughter Olivia Rosemary Maus, twin grandsons Sean David and Cory Ian Maus all of Alaska; brother Larry Williams of Ireland, sister Helen Murphy of Ireland, cousins Jim Williams of Nyssa, OR, Sharon Carson of Boise, ID and Barb Williams of Caldwell, ID.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Seamus, Cissie, Benny, Lily, Nan, Mary.
