John P. McCarthy, age 68, of Trumbull, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 5, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Manor in Trumbull. Born in Bridgeport, the son of the late Jeremiah and Ann (Massey) McCarthy, he had been a lifelong area resident. John was a graduate of Stratford High School and the Culinary Institute of America. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1967 to 1969. John had an affinity for cars, loved to eat out, and never turned down an opportunity to be quick with a good joke.
