John Patrick Crower, 56, died on Monday morning, September 18, 2017 in Foley, AL.
John was born in Midland, MI, to the late Richard and Virginia (Hunt) Crower. He attended Midland High School and went on to pursue his career in construction.
John was an incredibly talented carpenter, who was always looking for something to fix. He was a jack-of-all-trades who took great pride in his craftsmanship. He excelled in cabinetry, home building, and auto repair.
John had been a valued employee at Crower Construction, Gerace, Three Rivers, and Don Varner Builders. Some of John’s major accomplishments included the construction of the Santa House in downtown Midland where he built the nutcracker display.
John enjoyed hunting deer, NASCAR, and reading; he was especially fond of author Louis L’amour.
John enjoyed a good joke and making people laugh.
Surviving John are his two children, Jay Crower of Midland, and Jody (Aaron) VanWormer of Midland.
John is also survived by his brother Michael (Melissa) Crower of Midland, and sisters: Jane (Greg) Smith of Indianapolis, IN, Kate (Paul) Maitland of Brighton, MI, and Nora Crower of Gulf Shores, AL, and his former spouse and mother of his children, Tina Crower, of Midland.
John also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
