Col. John Victor Orsini, Jr, USAF, ret., passed away at his home on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008. Born in Tsing ” Tao, China, on Jan. 15, 1940, he was the son of John V. Orsini, Sr. and Rachael Gatsulskaya Orsini. A resident of Fair Oaks Ranch and a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Boerne, he had formerly lived in San Antonio. Col. Orsini had retired from the USAF after 29 years of service. Preceded in death by his father, he is survived by Wife, Vibeke; Mother, Rachel Orsini; Children, Andrew Sparks and his wife, Jennifer Davis, Teri Pierce and her husband, Joe, Christopher Sparks and his wife Stacey, Raquel Dolan and her husband, Ed, and Kimberly Sparks; Grandchildren, Simone, Savana, Annelise, Caleb, and Trevor; Sisters, Geri Pryzby and Cathy Petrusky and her husband, George.
