A lifetime resident of Okeechobee, he was a member of the National Cattlemen’s Association and Florida Cattlemen’s Association. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, farming watermelons, and his cattle, horses, and dogs.
Mr. Pearce was preceded in death by his parents; uncle, Gordon Dillard; brother-in-law, Bill Phares; and grandson, Michael Coker.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kathy Pearce; son, Jason Pearce (Cindy); daughter, Charley Pearce (Richard), all of Okeechobee; grandchildren, John O. V, Josey (David), and Aubrey; brother, Keith G. Pearce (Debbie); and sister, Nancy Phares.
