John E. NortonMay 12, 1936 – Dec 30, 2009Sergeant First Class John Earnest Norton, 73, of Huntsville, AL died Wednesday at a local hospital. He retired from the Army in 1974. He was a member of Flint River Baptist Church. He loved working with children and he served many years driving the bus for mission trips and the church ministry. He also drove a bus at Buckhorn High School for several is survived by his wife Mary “Francis” Crain Norton, 3 sons: John Jr. (Jake) & wife Rhonda, Jimmy, and James & wife Jennifer; one daughter Kay & husband Scott Gedling. 14 grandchildren: Lisa, Johnny, Jason, Melissa, Amber, Madison, Jonathan, Tanner, Alex, Beth, Clayton, John David, Emily, and Franklin Tony. 6 Great-grandchildren: Michael, Summer, Kayne, Ethan, Evan, and Jackson. Three sisters & two brothers who live in Mississippi.
