GARTON, Mr. John N.,died Sunday morning March 27, 2016 at his residence. John was born March 15, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan a son of John and Marion (Fellows) Garton. During the Vietnam War, he served with the U.S. Navy. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 1986. John was preceded in death by his parents. On December 10, 1977, he was united in marriage to Cassandra “Candy” L. (Kelley) Garton who survives.
He also is survived by 6 children, Rich Garton, Hope (Alvin McGill) Garton, Christina Garton, Joscelyn (Michael) Garton-Escamilla, Leah Garton, and Shannon; 5 grandchildren, Zachary, Jose (Kendra), Caitlin, and Alonzo; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
