John “Jack” Moore, 79, Pendleton, passed away June 16, 2010 at Community Hospital, Anderson after a sudden illness. He was born November 3, 1930 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and resided in Madison County most of his life. Jack was a 1949 graduate of Anderson High School.

He served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1988 from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 34 years of service. He was past President of the Eagles Aerie #174, past State President of F.O.E., President of Madison County Civic Fraternal and Veterans Association, Second Indian Head Division Association and Korean War Alliance.

He is survived by his wife whom he married December 20, 1953, L. Jean Siemer Moore; children, Jo Ellen Moore of Parker City, Jeffrey B. Moore Jill of Pendleton and John D. Moore of Middletown; sister, Christine Smith Harold of Indianapolis; two granddaughters, Jennifer and Jessica Moore of Pendleton; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. and Mary Audrey Estes Moore.
