John Michael Sulzycki, age 66, of Greenfield and formerly of the new city section of Easthampton, died on Monday August 8, 2022 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield after a period of failing health. John was born in Northampton on September 24, 1955 the son of the late Victoria Frances (Zawadzki) Sulzycki and Max Michael Sulzycki.
John was educated at the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Parochial School and was a graduate from Easthampton High School in the class of 1974. John then entered the work force shortly after high school becoming a machinist and worked many years in the manufacturing industry.
While living in Easthampton he was a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish. John enjoyed
Polish food and times spent at the parish Polish Festivals held annually on the parish grounds. He enjoyed horse racing accompanied by his brother Ed. He was also a share holder of the Pulaski Club in Easthampton.
In his younger years John was an outstanding athlete and participated in many youth sports programs in Easthampton and he was a varsity letterman in soccer, basketball and baseball for the Easthampton High School Eagles.
John is survived by his brother: Edward Charles Sulzycki of Easthampton and several cousins and friends.
Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his wife Barbara Lorraine (Jule) Sulzycki on April 5, 2016
