John Michael Moriarty, Sr.
Waterbury- Mr. John Michael Moriarty, Sr., 85, died Thursday, October 2 at the Waterbury Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Moriarty was born November 15, 1922 in Waterbury, son of the late Patrick and Julia (O’Sullivan) Moriarty.
He is survived by one son, John Moriarty, Jr and his wife Carol (Stack) Moriarty of Middlebury; one daughter, Kathleen Moriarty and her husband, Attorney John Ambrozaitis of Bethlehem; one brother, Patrick Moriarty of Waterbury; three grandchildren, James Ambrozaitis of Naugatuck, Attorney Elisabeth Moriarty-Ambrozaitis of Washington, DC and Michael Moriarty and his wife Nicole (Kasper) Moriarty of South Windsor and several cousins, nieces and nephews and close friend, Lillian Walters formerly of Prospect.. He was predeceased by his former wife, June (Downs) Moriarty and a brother, Eugene Moriarty.
John’s family would like to thank the staff of Meridian Manor Health and Rehabilitation for the excellent care he received since becoming a resident two years ago.
