John “Jack” McAndrew, 90, of Ottawa died Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at River Shores in Marseilles. Jack was born on August 18, 1921, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Ford and Mary (Defenbaugh) McAndrew.
He was an Army Veteran of WWII. He married Helen Cull in Ottawa. He retired from L.O.F. after 32 years. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Knights of Columbus, and Glassworkers Local 19. He is survived by 2 sons, Luke McAndrew, of Ottawa, and Terry (Margie) McAndrew, of Lake Zurich, IL, and 2 grandchildren, Matthew and Caitlin.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, and a sister Lorraine Burns.
