Jack was born May 1, 1924 in Muncie, Indiana to Leonard and Tessie (Hillyard) Tomlinson. He passed away January 24, 2018 at the age of 93 from natural causes in Meridian, Idaho.
Jack began his military career in the Army Air Corps as a glider pilot in training in 1942. He went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force during WWII as a fighter pilot of a P38 and P51 Mustang in the Pacific theater. He was transferred to Mountain Home Air Force Base with a B47 and was there until he retired as a Major in 1965.
Following his military retirement Jack was a successful businessman in the insurance industry.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Tessie Tomlinson, brother, Marion Tomlinson, sister, Vivian Restler, first wife, Geneva Tomlinson, son, Jackie and two sweet great-grandchildren and his second wife, Betty.
He is survived by his wife, Allene of 11 years, his children, Pattie Miller, Pam Quinney, Rick Tomlinson (Kathy), Marcy McFall (Andrew), Terri Frostrom (Steve), step-children Yvonne Glines (Mark), Phil Hawkinson and Terry Sullivan. He had 27 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. He has one surviving sibling, Loren (Priscilla) Tomlinson.
