John M. Piorkowski, 54, of Bethel, passed away Sunday October 6th at Yale New Haven Hospital after a courageous battle with liver cancer. He was born in Schenectady, NY on January 9, 1959. He graduated from Bethel High School and lived in Bethel, CT most of his life. John was married to the love of his life and best friend Carol (Pracuta) Piorkowski on September 29, 1996 on the beach in Rhode Island; they were married 17 years. With his family, John owned and operated The Video House in Bethel for over 20 years. He and his wife Carol owned and operated the Station Break Bakery & CafAC. in the Bethel train station for many years. As most people know, John was an incredible golfer. He was also an avid fan of many other sports including the Boston Celtics and the St. Louis Rams. He enjoyed watching the news and sports and doing all types of puzzles and playing games.
