John M. “Johnny” Morris, Jr.
John M. Morris, Jr. was born on September 20, 1962 in Rayville, Louisiana. After a lengthy battle with brain cancer, Johnny met his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at the age of 50. He is survived by his wife, Jan Toms Morris of Rayville, children: Logan Morris and wife Jennifer of Rayville; Jordan Morris and wife Hannah of Sterlington, LA; Clayton Morris and wife Emily of Little Rock, Arkansas; and Brennan Morris of Rayville; one granddaughter, Aniston Claire Morris, of Rayville. He is also survived by his mother, Carol Ann Morris Boughton and her husband John Ben Boughton of Mangham,LA; sister Paula Morris of Rayville; step-sister, Carla Hedgepeth and husband Steve of Shreveport, LA, brothers-in-law, Johnny Toms and wife Lori of Jonesboro, LA; Jeffrey Toms and wife Dawn of Weston,LA; and Jay Toms and wife Melissa of Nashville, TN; and mother-in-law, Freddie Saterfiel and husband Truman of West Monroe, LA and a host of nieces and nephews.
Johnny is preceded in death by his father John M. Morris, Sr.; maternal grandparents, John and Mona Magee; and paternal grandparents, O.L. and Jimmie Morris.
Johnny was a 1980 graduate of Riverfield Academy.
