John M. Hein 59, of Deer Park, rural Oglesby, died January 27, 2007, at Illinois Valley Community Hospital, following an extended illness.
Mr. Hein was born January 23, 1948 in LaSalle to Dr. Donald E. and Gertrude (Maciejewski) Hein. He married Michelle Mickey Trench on December 20, 1969 in St. Josephs Church, Peru. He was a graduate of LP High School Class of 1966, and LPO Junior College. He was an Army combat veteran of the Viet Nam War, serving from 1969 to 1971. He was awarded a bronze star. He worked for 22 years for Majeske and Ludford and for the last 14 years owned and operated The Frame Shop in Oglesby. He was a member of St. Marys Church, Utica, Oglesby Elks, Oglesby American Legion, LaSalle Catholic War Veterans, Deer Park Country Club, LaSalle Knights of Columbus, and the Oglesby Business Association.
He is survived by his wife Michelle of rural Oglesby, a son Christopher (Laura) Hein of Oglesby, a daughter Jennifer (Jason) Sowers of Peru, 2 granddaughters, a sister Charlotte (Jack) Moriarty of LaSalle and a brother Daniel (Sylvia) Hein of Ethel, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
