John M. Driscoll, Jr.
North Franklin-John “Jack” M. Driscoll, Jr., 85, of Brockett Road, Niantic, formerly of Pautipaug Hill Road, died at the Bayview Health Care Center of Waterford.
Jack was born in Norwich on January 3, 1928 son of John M. and Loretta Driscoll, Sr. He was part owner along with his sister Anne and brother Paul of Driscoll’s Dairy in Yantic most of his life. After the Dairy farm Jack continued to work for Town and Country Greenhouse in Preston. He was a life member of the Willimantic Lodge of Elk’s #1311 and a member of the Franklin Lion’s Club.
On September 1, 1952 he was united in marriage to Emma Remondi. Mrs. Driscoll survives her husband of 60 years.
In addition to his wife Jack is survived by his daughters Judy Carta and her husband, Bruce of Urania, NC and Deborah and her husband Edward Artale of Salem, CT, a son John M. Driscoll, III and his wife Judie of Lyme, CT, a brother Paul Driscoll of Franklin, CT, three sisters, Anne McManus of N. Franklin, Margaret Foley of Norwich and Irene Tanner of West Hartford, three grandsons Stephen Artale and his wife Erin of Groton, Jackson Driscoll and Joel Driscoll of Lyme, CT.
