John E. Louscher, age 87, of Spirit Lake, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2009, at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake. He was born on January 24, 1922, in Harris, Iowa, to George Edward and Della (Gillespie) Louscher. John graduated from Harris High School in 1941. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1942, until 1945. John was united in marriage to Margaret Benson in 1941. Margaret passed away in October of 1991. He married Raeburn Voigt Newell on September 13, 1995, in Nashua, Iowa.John owned and operated Louscher Motors in Lake Park for over thirty years, before retiring in 1979. He was a member of the Lake Park American Legion and was a boyscout leader. John enjoyed spending his spare time woodworking, building model ships, golfing, fishing and hunting.John is survived by his wife, Raeburn Louscher of Spirit Lake.
