John Lewis Johnson, 86, of Anderson, passed away on September 18, 2020.
He was born on April 1, 1934 in Tipton County, Indiana and resided most of his life in Anderson. John graduated from Kempton High School in 1952, and then graduated from a trade school to become a pipe fitter. He retired from Delco Remy in 1991 after 39 years of service. He was a Master Mason, and a member of the White River Watchers for 20 years.
John is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Zoena Johnson; daughters, Susan Jones and Christine (Alan) Esche; grandchildren, Derek (Ermah) Mitchell, Carrie Wilson, Sara Checa, Allison (Jason) Terry, Aaron (Arlene) Esche, and Alex (Caroline) Esche; 11 great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.
Also surviving are his siblings, Thelma Holst, Robert Johnson, Marcia Kay (DJ) Buldger, Jack (Connie) Johnson, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth P. and Della Mae (Bitner) Johnson; eight siblings, and son-in-law, Richard Jones.
