John Leslie Williams, 70, died on January 29, 2021 from kidney failure.  He was born May 2, 1950 in Sherman, Texas to Howard and Alma ‘Colleen’ Williams.  He married Deborah Betz on June 6, 1970.

In 1966, John was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and served as an Elder in the Skyline Congregation in Cañon City, Colorado.  One of his greatest joys was giving Public Talks in various Congregations.  He retired from Portec (Interroll) after 40 years and was also trained as an EMT.

John loved photography, looking for moose, playing his guitar, listening to Bluegrass music and exploring the canyon lands and arches in Utah.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah; son, Adron; sister, Carolyn (Nate) Betz; grandchildren, Hannah (Brett), Ryan, Kellie, Lucy, and Stevie; great-grandchildren, Tanner, Canaan, Caspian, and Cyprus; mother-in-law, Laurnell Betz; sisters-in-law, Becky (Phil) Johnson, Lavonne (Jim) Tolliver, Rachel (Mike) Chavez; brother-in-law, Jon (Margie) Betz; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Merle Betz; brother, Daniel; two nephews; a grandson and a great niece.
