John L. Graham, 79, peacefully passed away with his family by his side on June 23, 2022 in Delray Beach, Florida.
He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 61 years, Mary, sons John and William, daughter Lisa and her husband Michael, granddaughters Ashley and her husband Christian, Brittany and her husband Joseph, Kayla, Lindsay, and great-grandchildren Abigail, Logan and Eleanor.
John is predeceased by his sister MaryPat and brother Dennis. He continued his loving relationships with his sisters Sheila and Tracy.
He was born in Rochester, New York on December 19, 1942 to Bernice and Leo Graham. He was the oldest of five children.
John met and fell in love with Mary at Central Catholic High School in Fort Lauderdale. After getting married they raised their family in South Florida while John worked in sales for Nabisco for 33 years.
He played football, baseball, and hockey in his earlier years and went on to coach youth football and baseball in the local community.
John and Mary traveled the world together and enjoyed living half of the year in Florida and the other half in North Carolina after he retired.
A fun-loving and kind-hearted man, “Poppy” was a friend to all. His passions were gardening, sports, and music. His four granddaughters were his pride and joy and he loved summers in the mountains with them.
He will be dearly missed, and we will carry his memory in our hearts forever.
