John L. Watson Jr., 73, passed away on August 7, 2016 at Morningside House of Friendship. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan to the late Dorothy and John L. Watson Sr. He served his country proudly in the United States Army, receiving many ribbons and medals, retiring as Sergeant 1st Class. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and playing cards. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his siblings, Barbara Stevens and Dwight Watson.
John is survived by his daughter, Susan M. Watson; and three sisters, Joan Nielsen, Kathleen Porter and Mary Jacobs.
