GOFF, Mr. John “Sunny” L. Portage, MI Died Saturday morning July 13, 2013 at his residence. John was born July 21, 1941 in Memphis, Tennessee a son of Glavish and Charlotte Whitney Goff. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with the Kenneth Mellema Company for many years, retiring in 1994.
John was preceded in death by his father, Glavish; 2 daughters, Ginger Goff and Pamela Dykehouse; a brother, Michael Goff; and a grandson, Skyler Goff. On April 19, 1969, he was united in marriage to Alma J. Holmes Goff who survives. Also surviving, 4 children, Debbie Goff of Alabama, Tammy Johnson of Kalamazoo, Frankie Wilson of Michigan; and Patricia “Penni” Timothy Moran of Mattawan; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; his mother, Charlotte Goff of Kalamazoo; a sister, Sharon Crowe of Florida; 4 brothers, twin Sam “Forest” Pam Goff of Colorado, Bob Debbie Goff of Tennessee, Jim Goff of Portage, and Tom Goff of Kalamazoo; a sister-in-law, Shirley Holmes of Portage; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
