John L. Silvey, 70, Anderson, died June 6, 2005 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis after a sudden illness.
He was born August 18, 1934 in Madison County. He was raised in Dundee moving to Anderson in 1961.
He retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors. He served his country in the US Army.
He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and was a volunteer for St. Vincent DePaul.
He is survived by his Wife of 46 years: Rose M. Bila Silvey. Children: Gregory L. & wife Carol E. Silvey, Michael A. & wife Sandra S. Silvey and Tina M. & husband Terry L. Prince. Four Sisters: Rose Davis, Pat Martin, Martha Taylor and Linda Driffill. Seven grandchildren, several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William & Marie Porter Silvey; brother, Gene Silvey; sister, Mary Adams and son, Timothy Silvey.
