Today we celebrate the life and mourn the death of John L. Bullard, Jr. (BB).
John was the first-born child born to John and Jessie Bullard on December 23, 1958. Born to a young military family, he traveled with his family to many places including Germany and Oklahoma before they planted roots back in Texas.
John accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.
BB loved sports especially track, basketball, and baseball. He often teased his nephews about how good he was back in the day.
John proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp.
John enjoyed a good movie, hamburger with a vanilla shake, his mom’s famous peach cobbler, German chocolate cake, and spending time with his nieces and nephews. He was known community wide for his avid love and wear of his favorite shoes, Converse Chuck Taylor’s.
BB had a beautiful heart. He truly saw the good in everyone and would give his last to anyone. He never met a stranger.
John went home to be with the Lord on March 30, 2019 at 1:02 PM.
He is preceded in death by Jessie Ann Bullard (mother), infant brother, Samuel Clinton Sr. (grandfather), Classie Clinton (grandmother), Samuel Clinton Jr. (uncle), Thomas Clinton III (uncle), Duke E. Heslip (uncle), Dwight Clinton (cousin), Virgil Bullard (grandfather), Ernestine Bullard (grandmother), Virgil Bullard (uncle), Avied Joe Walker (uncle).
