John L. “Sparky” Abrams, Jr. of Burlington City died Thursday December 15, 2011 at Helene Fuld Medical Center in Trenton at the age of 62. Mr. Abrams was born in Mt. Holly and was a longtime Burlington resident. He was employed as an electrician for the Township of Burlington since 1988.
Prior to working for Burlington Twp., he was employed for many years at Lou’s Electric in Burlington. John was an Air Force Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Burlington Moose Lodge and was a member of the APA Pool League.
He loved doing crossword puzzles, playing pool and fishing. John will be remembered by those who knew him as a good hearted, gentle soul who was loved by all and a friend to everyone. He will also be remembered as a fine electrician, a true master of his craft. John is survived by his wife Jennifer (nee Blazosky), his children; Brian Abrams, Shannon Abrams and Danielle Lewis, his grandchildren; Nicole, Kiki, Kaitlyn, Hunter and Lillianna. He is also survived by his brothers; Rich and Tom Abrams.
