John Kimble Mosley Sr. passed away on August 13, 2012, at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs. John was born on June 30, 1930 to Carrie Bonds Mosley in Greensboro, Alabama. He went on to serve in the Army from 1948 to 1952. He married Loretta Mae Wakley of Leadville, on June 29, 1952 in Raton, New Mexico. In 1954, John hired on at the Climax Mine, where he continued to work until retirement on December 31, 1982. John and Loretta then traveled throughout the country to numerous states such as Missouri, Florida, and Arizona. A few years later, they moved back to Colorado, and took up residence in Salida, where John and Loretta spent the rest of their 60 years together. John is preceded in death by his daughter, Linda J. Stinnett, who passed in 2006. John is survived by his wife, Loretta of Salida; son, John Kimble Mosley Jr. “Kim” and daughter-in-law Edith Mosley of Corinth, Mississippi; son-in-law, Gordon D. Stinnett Sr. of Buena Vista; grandson, Gordon D. Stinnett Jr. “Dee” and granddaughter-in-law, Angela D. Stinnett of Joshua, Texas; granddaughter, Amanda K. Stinnett of Leadville; grandson, Douglas K. Stinnett of Buena Vista; and great grandchildren, Nathan M. Stinnett, Morgan E. Stinnett, and Johnathan D. Stinnett all of Joshua, Texas.
