John “Jack” Kenny Long passed away on August 30 at the age of 85. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Norma Berniser Long; his parents, Nicholas and Eleanor Long; his sister, Dorothy Long Kerth (Norman); his brother, Nicholas J. Long, Jr.; and is survived by his sister, Eleanor Jean Long. He is lovingly remembered and missed by his nieces, Suzanne K. Gravener (Ken) and Connie K. Berner (Dennis); his nephew, Chip Kerth (Debi); and many great nieces and great nephews.
Jack was blessed with many wonderful friends. He was a graduate of Jesuit High School and Loyola University. He continued to have lunch with his fellow Blue Jay classmates (1949) three times a year. He was a CPA and belonged to The Society of Louisiana CPAs. Jack served his country proudly in the Air Force during the Korean War.
He was an avid tennis player and belonged to the Catholic Alumni Club.
