John Joseph Todd, born April 7, 1919, in St. Louis, MO to Charles Todd and Teresa Eubel Todd. Deceased July 6, 2011 in Littleton, Colorado.

John was the fourth of nine children and trained in the printing industry. He worked as a printer at Faithful Words Press of St. Louis and LeTourneau Manufacturing of Peoria, IL

He put his faith in the Lord Jesus at the age of 14 after hearing the gospel message at Bible Hall in St. Louis.

He married Edna Grace Hill of Tilden, IL, on October 12, 1940. During WWII he was drafted and assigned as an infantryman in the Pacific Theatre but when he arrived in Manila, they kept him busy printing Yank Magazine in support of troop morale.

In 1946 he started John Todd Company installing, manufacturing and servicing septic systems in the greater Denver area and continued in that business until November of 2010.

He was instrumental in founding Belleview Bible Chapel which met first in his home and later in the 4-H Building at the old Arapahoe County Fairgrounds at Belleview and Windermere, (now Cornerstone Park). Littleton Bible Chapel, (6023 S. Datura Street, Littleton, CO 80120) is an offshoot of the original Belleview Bible Chapel and John has attended there faithfully for many years.

At various times over the years John was an avid fisherman, photographer, motorcyclist, water-skier, snow skier and gardener. He never lost his sense of adventure or his sense of humor. He was still making jokes the day before he died.

John was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Edna, in 1999. He is survived by four sisters, all five of his children: John Jr, of Littleton, Carole Stowell of Salida, CO, and sons Terry, Jack and Barry of Littleton along with nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The grandchildren are Shannon Stowell of Monroe, WA, Ryan Stowell of Salida, CO, Lincoln Todd of Denver, Andrea Oakley of Broomfield, Joshua Todd of Arvada, Jeremiah Todd of Littleton, Josiah Todd of Centennial, Jesse Todd and Summer Dawn Todd of Littleton.
