John Joseph Isner, age 65, of West Main Street, Grafton, passed away Monday, February 11, 2013, at Wallace B. Murphy Nursing Care/NCF I, following an extended illness. He was born in Grafton, July 8, 1947, a son of the late Charles R. Isner, Sr., and Emma Mamie (Ware) Isner.
John was a 1965 graduate of Grafton High School, and a graduate West Virginia University with a Bachelors degree in accounting. He was a Vietnam veteran, having served in the US Navy where he was stationed in Guam and Okinawa. He worked as a bookkeeper, having been employed at Toothman Ford, and Refuse Control. He was a member of the VFW Memorial City Post #3081 of Grafton.
Surviving are: two brothers, Anton James “Jim” Isner and wife Charlene, of Florida, and Charles R. “Rich” Isner and friend Debbie, of Grafton; one sister, Rebecca Ann Willis, and husband Michael, of Grafton; one sister in law, Sheryl Isner, of Grafton; two aunts, Margaret Isner and Virginia Hulley, both of Grafton; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Paul William Isner.
