John Joseph Bedeau, age 80, of Bemidji, Minnesota left this world on Friday, January 14th 2022 from the Sanford Hospital in Bemidji, MN.
John was born November 11th, 1941 in Cass Lake, MN, the son of Doris Mae (Bongo) and John C. Bedeau. He grew up in Onigum and Walker before moving to Minneapolis with his family and graduating from North High School. John went on to graduate from Hennepin County Vocational as a commercial artist. His art talent came naturally, and he enjoyed exploring the many mediums, oil paints, charcoal and others. Many of John’s family and friends have tokens of his talent to cherish for years. He was a true sports fanatic, watching and playing basketball, other sports and of course, the Minnesota Vikings. John enjoyed taking car rides and listening to classic country music, his favorites, Elvis, Waylon, Merle, Vern and Hank Williams, Jr. John loved good food and sweets, especially banana cream pie and mini–Kit Kats. He adored his daughters and grandchildren and loved to spend as much time with them as he could.
He joins in spirit his parents: Doris and John Bedeau, sister: Joanne Bedeau, brother: Nicholas Boswell, grandson: Robert Erle, grandparents: Margaret “Maggie” and John Bongo, and brother in-law: Owen Beaulieu.
He leaves behind his five daughters: Christina Dudley, Dawn Bedeau, Cynthia Bedeau, Lenora (William Moose) Bedeau and Laurie (Evan Lussier) Bedeau, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, the mother of his children, Glennis Dudley, special staff and friends at Red Cedar, numerous other family members and friends.
